Emily McGowin holds a B.A. in biblical studies from Criswell College, M.Div. from Truett Seminary, and Ph.D. in theology from the University of Dayton. She has five years experience teaching religious studies at the university level. Emily and her husband, Ronnie, are living in Olde Town Arvada, CO with their three children, where they planted Church of the Resurrection. At Rez Arvada, Emily serves on the leadership team, in the Godly Play program, and preaches regularly. Emily's writings have been featured in a number of journals including Faith and Mission, Baptist History and Heritage Journal, and New Blackfriars, She has also contributed chapters to a few books: The Popular Encyclopedia of Apologetics, The Women's Evangelical Commentary on the New Testament, and Angels on Earth: Mothering in Spiritual and Religious Contexts (forthcoming).
