History

The "Historical Books" of the Old Testament begin after the Pentateuch and include: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings, 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. These books cover the Conquest of the land of Canaan, the Period of the Judges, The Monarchy, Exile, and Return from Exile.
