I am the current Dean of St. James' Anglican Cathedral in Fresno, California, a down town multicultural Cathedral with a small multicultural congregation and with a very large Hispanic congregation (Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe). I have been serving in that capacity since 1998 when I left St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Florence, Oregon where my wife Carol and I had served for 12 years. Prior to that, I began my ministry as an assistant to Fr. William Wagner at Trinity Episcopal Church (now Cathedral) in Portland, Oregon where I was ordained a deacon on the feast of St. Irenaeus, 1983 and a priest the next year on the feast of St. Gregory Nazianzus.

I began seminary studies at Oral Roberts University in 1979 where I attended for two years, becoming Anglican from reading the early church fathers (especially Ignatius of Antioch). I finished seminary at Trinity College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1983. I focused my electives on Patristic studies at the Toronto School of Theology located at the University of Toronto. The ministry Carol and I pursue is patristic, charismatic and evangelical in nature.

I have three grown children each of whom did mission work with Youth With a Mission and each of whom is following Jesus in auto mechanics, degree completion for mechanical engineering at U.of Pittsburgh and teaching English in Kuwait.
