Board of Examining Chaplains
Welcome to the Board of Examining Chaplains Introductory Page
The ACNA West Board of Examining Chaplains assists Dioceses to assess candidates for ordination with regard to the nine Canonical Areas by offering study guidelines through the ACNA West wiki, integrative essay exams covering the nine areas and online modules in specific content areas.
Candidates for ordination are referred to the Board through their sponsoring Dioceses. Exams are coordinated by Deacon Erin Giles.
Currently, ordination exams through the Board are available only to candidates for ordination to the presbyterate. In future, exams for the Diaconate will be offered as well.
